The Kendo Gi AIZOME Double Layer combines strong materials, traditional colouring and high wearing comfort. Thanks to its double-layer construction, it not only feels pleasant on the skin, but also offers additional stability during training.
A gi for kendoka who value robust quality and classic aesthetics.
Material & workmanship
The kendogi is made of particularly soft, strong cotton, which is woven together in two layers (double layer).
This double fabric structure ensures a comfortable weight, a stable shape and a particularly comfortable feel during keiko. At the same time, the additional layer of fabric offers a certain amount of protection against misdirected hits.
The gi is traditionally dyed with aizome (indigo), which gives the fabric its characteristic deep blue colour.
Comfort during training
Thanks to the double-layer cotton structure, the gi sits calmly and stably on the shoulders. The firm fabric supports a clear posture and ensures a solid, traditional training feel.
Especially with regular training, the fabric develops a pleasantly soft structure over time and adapts better and better.

Care & notes
The traditional aizome dyeing process is not completely fixed after dyeing. This means that new gi may experience slight colour transfer.
Blue fingers are therefore quite possible with genuine indigo dyeing.
To preserve the colour for as long as possible, we recommend gentle care.
The gi should be washed by hand in the bath. Adding a generous amount of vinegar to the wash water can help to reduce colour loss and gradually fix the colour.
Please hang it up in the shade to dry.
